Spring 2005

Our 2nd Chapter Scholarship Recipient

Congratulations !

Kate Noble

Dear Fellow Members,

I am so grateful to have received the chapter's summer program scholarship earlier this year. Thanks to the chapter's generous gift, I was able to attend Level 1 training at the University of Kentucky. What an amazing two weeks!
Brian Crisp led pedagogy ( he is presenting for our chapter this spring ), Jay Broeker taught recorder, Brian Burnett was the movement instructor, and Cindy Hall led group activities. The course was extremely engaging. I met many amazing people and witnessed countless new ideas. I walked away with an entirely new approach to music education, especially with my older students. As this school year began, I felt more confident as the kids came through the music room door. I was armed with numerous step-by-step quality lesson plans that have so far proven successful with the students.

Thanks for making all this possible!
Sincerely,

Kate Noble

P.S. This summer I realized how fortunate I am to be near such a great chapter. After talking with others, it became clear that Cincinnati's chapter is not typical. Thanks for everyone's hard work for making our chapter so special.
